FAQ
Q: "Would I need to get my brows waxed/done/cleaned up before I come see you... or are you gonna handle everything lol?"
A: You can come in with make up full on or with a bare face, however, I will clean your brows during brow mapping. I also like to keep as much brow hairs as I can and I always recommend my clients to bring in the products they use on their brows i.e. brow powder/pencil (for color matching purposes).

Q: "Do you accept cards or just cash?"
A: I accept most forms of payment: cash, venmo, paypal, zelle, and most major debit/credit cards (5% fee will apply for any card payments).

Q: "Do you offer training?"
A: Yes, please see beccsbrows.com/training

Q: "How long does brow tinting last?"
A: Brow tinting is much like hair dye, it tints the brows and is good for up to 3-4 weeks. The brow tint stains the skin for 2-3 days giving it a full look and the tint stays on hair for 3-4 weeks. I like to offer this service to those who are on the fence about semi-permanent services, just to give them an idea of how their brows look when filled in.

Q: "What is the difference between Microblading and Ombrè brows?"
A: Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that creates natural hair-like strokes with a handheld microblade. It’s perfect for people who have eyebrow hairs and wants a fuller eyebrow. ***NOT EVERYONE IS A CANDIDATE FOR MICROBLADING, PLEASE READ*** If you have oily/combination skin, your healed microblading strokes will heal blurry/expanded. Ombre/Powder eyebrows create a full powder look much like topical powder make up. Ombre eyebrows start off light at the head of the brow, bolder in the body of the brow & boldest in the tail of the brow. (Click here for examples)

Q: "How long does semi-permanent eyebrows last?"
A: Semi-permanent eyebrows last 2 to 3 years for most people without yearly maintenance. Yearly maintenance is required for brow color/shape longevity. For permanent lips and eyeliner, it lasts 3 to 5 years.

Q: "Does it hurt?"
A: Most clients report little or zero pain! For the ombre procedure, brows are outlined without anesthetic. I will use a topical anesthetic before the shading procedure to numb the area. *Note* that just like waxing: during female menstrual period, female clients report being more sensitive.

Q: "How should I prepare for my appointment?"
A: Before your appointment, I highly encourage my clients to "shop" for eyebrows on my instagram feed or google. Eyebrows comes in many shapes and styles, from feathered to bold, arched to straight. I will work with you to customize your best brows. In the week before your appointment, I recommend avoiding blood thinners, vitamins, aspirin, alcohol or using retinol creams. Coffee must also be avoided on the day of your appointment.

Q: "How long does it take to heal?"
A: You'll be able to wear your new brows back to brunch! In the first 7 days, you'll need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing eyebrow makeup. It takes about 4 weeks to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing. Eyeliner and lip service will be swollen for 2 days after treatment. Please see "healing stages".
Q: "What is the aftercare?"
A: Aftercare kit will be provided at the end of each service. If you misplaced it, please email me for a copy. General aftercare includes dry healing, no make up in area of procedure, no gym, no sauna, and avoid getting them wet! Thin layer of A&D (included in aftercare kit) will be applied 3-5 days after procedure, exact day will be determined at end of procedure.

Q: "My eyebrows are light and disappearing! Help?!"
A: During the healing process this is normal. After scabbing, the brows will appear as if there isn't any pigment left. Give it a few days and the true color will reappear. Hang in there! Please see "healing stages".
Q: "When should I get a touch up? How much is it?"
A: A perfecting session (touch up) is needed 6-8 weeks of your appointment with any semi-permanent service booked. See book now.
Q: "Can I get microblading/ombre brows while pregnant?"
A: No, I do not recommend semi-permanent services while pregnant or breastfeeding. Your health and your baby's health is important to me.
Q: "Who is ineligible for semi-permanent make up services?"
A: My business insurance is strict, I just can't take anyone. You can't be under 18 years old (even with parent/guardian consent), pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids. Any of these conditions can be appealed with a written doctor's clearance.
Q: "Can I get semi-permanent makeup if I have Juvederm injections/fillers, botox?"
A: I recommend getting semi-permanent makeup first, or wait 4 weeks.
Q: "So... no more drawing my eyebrows every morning?"
A: Let's be real! There is no such thing as permanent. Our skin sheds every 28 days, which means your semi-permanent make up will fade as well.... I offer yearly maintenance and color refresher for our clients. Longevity of semi-permanent eyebrows varies in the environmental factors, products and conditions you put your skin through and sometimes can be unpredictable.
